Our goals are to
promote each individual's maximum level of independence and present
level of functioning; maintain each individual in the community as long
as possible; and avoid premature or inappropraite institutionalization.
The independent elderly are:
- 55 years and older
- in good health
- able to care for oneself
- able to walk without assistance or with a cane or walker
